Dr. Francis J. Mwaisela received his medical degree from the University of Dar-es-Salaam in Tanzania, East Africa. He did his neurology residency at the University of Connecticut and an epilepsy fellowship at the University of Maryland. He is board certified in neurology and clinical neurophysiology (EEG, EMG/NCS). He is the Chief of Neurology at St. Joseph Medical Center and attending neurologist at Greater Baltimore Medical Center. His special interests are general neurology, epilepsy, and neuromuscular diseases.

Board-certified Neurologist

Dr. Marcella V. Mwaisela received her medical degree from the University of Bern, Switzerland, and did her neurology residency as well as a fellowship in neurorehabilitation at the University of Maryland. She is board certified in neurology. Her special interests are general neurology and headaches.

Dr. Mwaisela has attending privileges at St. Joseph Medical Center and Greater Baltimore Medical Center.

Dr. Maya R. Carter received her medical degree at the University of Kentucky and did both her neurology residency and epilepsy fellowship at the University of Maryland. She is board certified in neurology. Her special interest is epilepsy.

Dr. Carter has attending privileges at St. Joseph Medical Center and Greater Baltimore Medical Center.
